Your journey begins with a choice between the Sport Pilot Certificate and the Private Pilot Certificate, allowing you to select the pathway that best fits your goals, medical eligibility, and budget.

Sport Pilot
An affordable and accessible introduction to aviation.
For many students, the Sport Pilot Certificate offers the fastest path into the cockpit and, for eligible individuals, does not require an FAA Medical Certificate. Train in modern aircraft while learning the fundamentals of safe flight.

Requirements 14 CFR § 61.65
- Hold at least a current private pilot certificate or be applying for one
- 50 hours of cross-country time
- 40 hours of simulated or actual instrument flight time
- Pass the required knowledge test
- Pass the required practical test
