About Us
Welcome to FalKor Aviation!
Mission
At FalKor Aviation Academy, our mission is to develop safe, capable aviators through efficient training, consistent mentorship, and well-defined standards.
We provide structured flight training for clients pursuing Sport Pilot, Private Pilot, Instrument, Commercial, CFI, CFI-I, MEI and Multi-Engine Certificates. Our programs combine the flexibility of Part 61 training with the consistency and accountability expected from a part 141 aviation academy.
Our clients are kept informed through the use of online grading and program standards. With clear expectations, honest feedback, and a focus on academics; We will prepare you for your Aviation life beyond the check ride.
Safety Culture
Safety is at the foundation of everything we do. We teach our clients to manage risk, think ahead, and make sound aeronautical decisions.
Most importantly, we embrace a "just culture" approach, where safety reporting is seen as a professional responsibility to improve safety rather than a punitive action. It requires viewing safety as a passion, not just a task, with a willingness to report errors—even one’s own—to enable system-wide learning.
As part of this effort, we have implemented an internal Aviation Safety Action Program. Something not normally found at flight schools. This program is a voluntary, cooperative reporting system designed to prevent aviation accidents and incidents. It encourages employees (such as pilots, mechanics, and even office staff) to voluntarily report safety issues and rule violations without the fear of disciplinary action.
A note from the chief. I often tell my team "If you make a mistake, the best course of action is to report it right away, you won't get in trouble for making a mistake, even if it's a big one; on the other hand, you WILL get in trouble if you hide your mistakes." I normally follow this up with a story of my own missteps and even some of the foolish things I've done over my 26 years and thousands of hours of flying. This allows for open dialog and gives us all the opportunity to grow.
Fleet, Maintenance & Safety
Our growing fleet is maintained by our in-house team of FAA Certified Mechanics. This is a critical component of any aviation business. Machines break, so our team works hard to ensure that our fleet is held to the highest standard including proactive inspections beyond the FAA minimums.
This approach comes at significant cost, but safety is simply not negotiable.
